Windows Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
Oversee set up systems and workspaces prior to arrival of new employees. Assist new employees with setup of voicemail, software, and e-mail accounts. When an employee arrives on his/her first day, everything should be ready to go in regards to hardware and software. Develop processes, procedures and training for all new staff.
Assist in the procurement of hardware equipment and software licensing. Oversee and manage the installation of new hardware/software and system upgrades while maintaining inventory on all equipment and software.`
You must have the flexibility and responsiveness to resolve issues in order to keep the business moving forward.
You should be able to bring new ideas and advanced solutions to management which are well-researched and appropriate for our growing business needs and technical issues.
Qualifications:
5 years minimum IT team experience
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012, including Domain Controllers
Experience in administering Active Directory including account management and Windows server file security privileges
Experience in administering virtual servers in a VMWare environment
Experience in administering virtual servers in a cloud environment
Knowledge of system security, operation, performance, and system effectiveness
Knowledge of peripherals, connections, and TCP/IP networking (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
Basic knowledge of Linux - System navigation, file editing, knowledge of file system and running base commands.
MCSA/MCSE Certifications a plus
