IT Application Support and Development Engineer
Responsibilities:
Daily engagement with a diverse customer base, where ad-hoc support requirements are typical. Work on team and individual projects and support activities. Demonstrate the ability to work independently with a sense of urgency, motivation and commitment; Strong results-orientation is essential, with high quality commitment. Embrace changing IT technology, while managing, supporting and adapting across the complete life cycle of IT systems. Maintain compliance with supported IT standards and security initiatives. Work with various teams including System Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Administrators and other IT groups to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements:
3+ years familiarity and troubleshooting experience with variety of web development technologies including Java, SalesForce, HTML5, Perl and .Net technologies.
Database query and reporting experience with Oracle, MySql, and Business Objects.
Ability to troubleshoot applications on both Windows 7 and Mac OS X Operating Systems.
Strong interpersonal skills: listening, engaging, collaboration, integrity, confidence.
Strong analytical skills
Works with internal and external collaborators.
Can independently prioritize work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical writing ability; ability to articulate and document system components, usage, and problem resolutions.
Experience with managing incoming customer requests to clearly defined SLAs.
Work experience in a Biotech or Pharma environment (desired).
Required Education:
BA or BS in Computer Science or related field.
