Software Engineer
A 4-year college or university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is a plus.
Effectively communicates ideas and designs in a cross-functional product development team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Must be proficient in the Java programming language.
Experience working with distributed, Internet-based computing architectures and technologies that address scalability, reliability, availability and redundancy (messaging, caching, load balancing, web services, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently with large data sets.
Background in server-side Java technologies is a plus.
Understanding in SQL and RDBMS technologies; MySQL experience is preferred.
Knowledge of proper use of source revision-control systems (git, svn, cvs, etc).
Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
Familiarity with front-end web development tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Google Closure Tools, Google Web Toolkit (GWT).
Experience with Amazon AWS products and solutions including but not limited to S3, EC2, EBS, ELB, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, RDS, SQS, IAM, SNS, Route53, AutoScaling, ElastiCache, ElasticMapReduce, CloudSearch is a big plus.
Familiarity and experience with any of the following is a big plus: Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, MapReduce, Apache Lucene, Apache Solr, Apache Zookeeper, Apache Cassandra, NoSQL Databases, stateless partitioning.
Familiarity and experience with any of the following is a plus: system administration, Hibernate, JUnit, Ant, Gradle, Ivy, Flyway, Chef, Puppet, Asgard, Netflix OSS Tools, bash shell scripting, Jetty, Apache Web Server, Apache Commons, Google Guava, Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS), RETS Syndication, jrets.
Experience with GNU/Linux as primary development target.
