Software Developer
•Participates in system concept design
•Documents details of designs, analytical methods and results
•Designs and implements unit and functional tests of software components
•Participates in quality assurance activities such as risk analysis and design and code reviews
•Develops UI's and test harnesses as necessary
•Develops algorithms and data structures as required
• Works in a multi-disciplinary team to collect, document and interpret system and software requirements
Required Skills
• Strong, demonstrable background in C/C++
• Embedded systems development experience
• Linux development experience
• Python experience
• Image processing experience, including algorithm development
• Software development for medical devices, microfluidic devices and/or manufacturing automation
Required Experience
• 5+ years experience in commercial software development
• 1+ years developing instrument control systems
• Experience using agile software development methods
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-starter with an innate sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects
• Experience delivering a commercial product to the market
Education
• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , Electrical Engineering or related field
