Sr Software Engineer
Participate in new product development by supporting cross-functional teams and business units in software development of new product offerings.
Ensure compliance with design criteria, standards and supporting documentation.
Test, evaluate and analyze systems to determine or prove performance and reliability.
Occasionally provide direction to testing and lab support personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years experience with professional software development.
1+ years experience with software development for an operating system (i.e. Linux/Unix, Windows, Mac).
1+ years experience in defining technical product requirements and developing formal design documentation.
Experience working on software development projects in one or more of the following areas: user interface development, application development, kernel development, complex build environments, database design, and networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing projects utilizing C/C++ languages.
Experience programming in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Ability to define technical product requirements and to develop formal design documentation.
Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projects.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills and attention to detail.
