Senior Developer (JAVA, JSP and JBOSS)
Work within the defined Pharmacy OneSource Agile development methodology.
- Develop solutions using OOP and design patterns to create maintainable and extensible software.
- Implement solutions using Test Driven Development principles.
- Investigate problem areas within the applications and implement the appropriate fixes.
- Estimate development work at both the Epic level and user story level granularity.
- Analyze development requirements for complex development work.
- Mature our Agile development methodology by focusing on lean principles and taking advantage of knowledge sharing opportunities with other teammates.
- Support and develop fellow software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams and charts.
Qualifications: o Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
o 5+ years of experience developing web applications using a Java stack, including proficiency in
o JSP
o Servlets
o jBoss
o ANT
o Relational Databases or an ORM
o JavaScript or JQuery
o Struts
o Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles with the ability to consistently demonstrate their effective use.
o Deep understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, and deployment management
o Experience with the following .Net technologies a plus: .Net 4.0 and C#
