Sr. Software Configuration Management Engineer
Schedule, execute, and document software build processes. Compile software with standard software development tools, package builds for release, ensure appropriate project documentation is available for each new build or release, and smoke testing builds for accuracy and completeness of the build. Accurately apply code fixes to all environments as required. Develop scripts, applets and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms; this includes client and server install scripts, and build and release automation scripts. Identify issues in assigned projects during the lifecycle of the project. Plan and execute the resolution of those issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or related discipline and 3 years of experience in job offered or in related IT analysis or consulting occupation. Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently: 3 years of experience configuring and using one or more of the following Source Control tools: MS Team Foundation Server, CVS, Visual Source Safe, ClearCase; 3 years of experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Unix/Linux systems; VMWare, Citrix, Tivoli; 2 years of experience using ANT, Groovy, or Maven to automate development tasks; Experience in software engineering practices and programming using .Net and Java; Experience in SCM and Configuration Management, using and configuration of Change Management tools TFS, Tracker, or TeamTrack; Experience with test management software tools HQ Quality Center, Testor, or Test Coverage Analyzer; Experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies; Microsoft SQL Database Server Administration.
