Software Engineer
Ensure that software interface accurately represents the electrical distribution system and the interactions between the software, the UPS, and the electrical switchgear are correct and take into account safety considerations, and protection of the electrical system.
Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot software issues and provide solutions or patch software as required.
Create technical presentations on software use and capabilities
Develop test plans for proving software functionality and all potential field conditions that may be experienced.
Carry out test plans and revise and correct software deficiencies as needed.
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with class work in software design and experience with LabView, Proface HMI or similar software, or equivalent education and experience.
Broad knowledge of power distribution or UPS systems.
Broad knowledge of IP based networks.
Developed analytical and problem solving skills.
Developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective relationships.
Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products, Visio and CAD
