Software Engineer • Design and implement new feature sets and enhancements for existing Java applet product • Participate in all aspects of software development including requirements analysis, effort estimation, technical investigation, software design and implementation, unit testing, and bug fixing • Create and document detailed software designs • Code, test, debug, and support Java in a client environment • Design software to support the creation and deployment of learning content and assessments within a mobile environment • Participate in the process of formulating the functionality of a mobile app targeted for our learning community • Develop a working prototype on the iPhone • A minimum 5 years experience in commercial software development and product development • Proven experience in C, C++, Java. • Experience with XML, HTML, JavaScript, Object Oriented Methodologies, Windows • Familiarity with the Internet and networking concepts in Java • Exposure to Linux, Mac and Vista regarding Java development is a plus • Experience in delivering solutions for large and complex software modules based on new or change requirements. Ability to debug existing code/software is essential • Experience in providing designs that can be used by other engineers • Experience with web technologies • Experience in client side based java technologies and in web-based distributed applications • In depth understanding of mobile telephone deployment technologies • Experience with iPhone development or Blackberry development preferred (in this order). • Objective C a plus • Experience with web technologies Education and Certifications BS or MS Computer Science or equivalent experience
