Software Release Lead
* Development, monitoring and communication of schedule changes for releases, including tracking and publishing environment status and requirements
* Review, report and escalate issues and conflicts
* Communicate with peer release leads, QA, App Hosting and application development around release activities and timeline
* Process Management
* Function as the central point of contact for correct use of release management process
* Coaching partner organizations (App/dev, Operations, QA) in the correct use of the process
* Orchestrating and obtaining approval for any exceptions to the process, on a case by case basis
* Recommend and implement service improvement opportunities
* Monitor deployment process and codify issues that arise during or post deployment
* Planning
* Ensuring all projects and maintenance events are phased into the appropriate release cycle
* Reviewing schedules with partner organizations and QA to determine release status versus plan
* Development, monitoring and communication of forecast release schedule (and required resources)
* Serve as voice for Release Management and QA during any normal or exception release discussions
Required Skills Requirements:
* 4 year degree in Computer Science or related experience required
* Highly organized and detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities
* 8-10+ years of IT experience
* Superior understanding of the software development lifecycle
* Ability to identify and resolve conflicting priorities.
* Experience with a continuous integration system such MSBuild or CruiseControl
* Experience working with project managers, Quality assurance, software developers
