Microsoft Software Engineer
Software Engineer with 4 or more years of development experience. Experience implementing enterprise software systems exercising independent judgment and accountability for these systems.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for creating great software in an Agile development environment.
The position requires good communication, analytical skills, and solid commercial Java server side development.
The candidate will join a team of engineers working on the development and enhancement of a healthcare messaging application for integrated systems.
The candidate will analyze business problems and requirements for complex integrated solutions, develop software solutions for these products, and create and perform unit tests.
The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting customer-found issues, performing root cause analysis on product defects, and implement bug fixes as needed.
Additionally, the candidate will be required to work closely with business analysts, product management, and quality control during the analysis and implementation phases to insure the changes made fully meet the overall product and customer needs.
4+ years experience in software engineering
Java or C#, Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate
Basic SQL skills
MS Server/SQL Server experience
Past experience migrating Objectivity to MS SQL Server HIGHLY desired
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Java/Eclipse
- J2EE, JMS, JMX, MDB
- HTTPS, XML, WSDL, SOAP services
- Spring/Hibernate with annotation config
- Proven track record delivering code in an agile SCRUM environment
- Experience with DTO, Service, and DAO layers
- JUnit, Selenium, Mockito or other automated testing technologies/tools
- HL7, CDA/CCD/C32, NCPDP message protocols
- Linux
- Oracle PL/SQL
Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
