- The key areas of focus will be around end to end data flow starting from the VMware VDDK and ending with I/O to target NAS storage. Some of the key technologies associated with the vmPRO data path are: Fuse, Linux volume management,VMware vStorage APIs, Linux filesystem drivers.
- The candidate will design, and implement future features as well as guide others.
- BSCS or MSCS (prefered), 10+ years experience, C programming language, Linux Internals, Filesystems, VMware vSphere or vStorage experience.
- Must be able to instruct, guide, negotiate, coordinate, analyze and organize.
- Must interact with others in a team environment and also work alone.
- Must complete tasks on time with and without supervision.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others can understand.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results.
- Ability to apply general rules or principles to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
