Software/Algorithm Developer
Design, Prototype, and develop software algorithm solutions in Java, C++/C as well as in tools such as Mathematica and MatLabs. Collaborate closely with Verification & Validation Specialists to design testing frameworks to verify and validate the algorithms. Work closely with software Development Leads, System Analysts, and Domain Experts & Scientists to identify establish requirements for software algorithms for future software roadmap. Evaluate the existing algorithm pipelines for genomic life science applications and identify areas where improvements can be proposed. Follow best practices for software development including unit tests, the use of source control, code documentation, design reviews and design specifications. Participate in project planning, assess development efforts and estimate durations needed for implementation. As part of the software development project team, develop and deliver algorithm modules and features on time. May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education:
Requires a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science with strong emphasis in Applied Mathematics, Physic, Statistics or Bioinformatics, or equivalent work experience.
