Software Support Engineer

This job requires the ability to analyze details, data anomalies, and resolve mapping issues. The Software Engineer should be self motivated and willing to work towards deadlines while accurately providing estimates of duration to their Manager.

Degree: Bachelor's Degree, in a technical major (Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering) or equivalent work experience required. Master*s degree desirable but not required.

* Familiarity with open source tools (Linux, Open Office). * Familiarity with Mirth (HL7 interface engine). * Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. * Required abilities, such as the following: data analysis, code mapping, implementing codes within application, data testing, problem solving skills, ability to describe issues to team partners in understandable terms, ability to stay organized within projects and follow in house processes and procedures. * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues. * Demonstrated ability to provide information in a concise, professional manner. * Demonstrated ability to identify a crisp and concise definition of technical and business requirements. * Comfortable mentoring other engineers, documenting processes, reviewing requirements and specifications, peer review of other*s work. * Demonstrated ability to identify, communicate, and implement areas for new operational efficiencies for the team.
