Database Computer Programmer/Analyst I
Bachelors degree in Computer Science and two years of professional experience in a computer research or development setting, OR a Masters degree in Computer science and one year experience, OR a Doctoral degree in Computer Science OR six years of such experience. Certification as a Novell Network Administrator can substitute for one year of the relevant experience
At least five years experience with database programming in a network environment. At least one year of experience with developing complex queries utilizing MS SQL Server. Must have experience with developing Delphi database applications with expertise in user interface design, data validation and integrity, system testing, report generation, and custom component programming.
The primary duty of this position is the design, programming and maintenance of in-house database applications using the Delphi application development platform running on Advantage Database Server.
Analysis of program operations to inform the conceptual development of mission-critical database applications, specifically insurance billing and coordination.
Development of database applications using multiple component libraries and writing custom components and classes when necessary.
Through code testing prior to application release with ongoing quality assurance testing after implementation.
Follow-up with target users to insure that program needs are being met.
