Software Developer * Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle including design, construction, maintenance and documentation. * Collaborate as part of a team to define objectives based on user requirements, then design and implement those features and functionalities. * Work closely with Architects to match business requirements to functional and technical specifications. * Work closely with the QA team, project teams and customers to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve errors related to applications and customer-specific interfaces. * Work within an established development framework while adopting industry standards, techniques, and best practices to produce quality code. * Use research, proof of concept, spike testing, etc. to drive a technology roadmap and make technology recommendations. * Drive innovation by researching and communicating trends and advancements in the field.

* 3+ years with J2EE tools, in a commercial software development environment. * Experience to include Servlet, EJB/JMS/MDB, RMI, MVC/JSP, Web Services/REST * 2+ years experience with XML technologies (XML, XSLT, SOAP) * Familiarity with JDBC * Solid understanding and real-world java programming experience in internet transport protocol (HTTP/S, FTP/S, SMTP, SSH) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Hunger – a desire to learn and to use the acquired knowledge for the good of the team; a self-starter * Ability to work with operational groups and perform tasks outside the development realm

- BS degree in computer science or related technical field, preferred
