Applications Programmer
This Applications Programmer position is located at the Connexus Credit Union in Wausau. Writes code that satisfies customer specifications for moderately complex custom information needs. Provides report design, code, and tests and demonstrates the capability to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming. Provides for organizational effectiveness and efficiency through the programming of functions and processes.
Minimum of an Associate Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience and at least 2-4 years of applications development work experience. Proficiency in the .net environment and at least two higher-level programming languages (e.g. Visual Basic, Crystal, C++). Evidence of problem solving ability and ability to communicate solutions to others, both in person, in writing, and over the telephone. Working knowledge of PC's and related peripheral devices, plus a proven aptitude to develop strong technical skills. Must be willing to work irregular hours as necessary. Evidence of maturity and the ability to work without direct supervision. Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server Administration or equivalent SQL server, Business (Crystal) decisions a plus. Effective communication (interpersonal, verbal and written) skills, analytical ability, judgment and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with the credit union colleagues. Job occasionally involves lifting/transporting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
