Sr. Software Engineer
Analyzes critical software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Involvement in business development includes briefing customers on company capabilities a recognized company authority. Defines customer requirements, provides advice on alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies on special, critical or complex projects. Accountable for the quality of the design implemented which includes compliance with all architectural standards and official guidelines. Specifies requirements and implementation for special or complex projects based on user requirements and strategic business directions. Consults with and leads teams of hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops, directs and reviews software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Designs and implements capabilities to improve the developer experience. Translates requirements into detailed design and implementation using various programming languages. As an industry-wide authority consults with customers concerning maintenance of software system. Provides support for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and operations of computer systems hardware, software and networks within assigned customer work stations and facilities. Contributes and reviews technical material to selected proposals and reports to substantiate and secure program funding. Acts as senior technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal, and existing program efforts. Identifies creative solutions using cutting edge technology to improve system and product offerings. Reviews test plans and define / develop test benches for software libraries. Integrates externally developed code into core libraries. Works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines. Documents and reviews engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 16 to 18 years of related experience.
Must posses a minimum 8 years professional experience
Must posses at least 2 years of Java development experience
Must possess at least 2 years of Application server experience
