Software Engineer
* Develop complex SQL queries to populate new student and teacher performance reports
* Develop ad-hoc queries to glean specified information from our 1TB database
* Develop Controller and Models in C# in an ASP.NET MVC environment
* Design and implement business logic utilizing an Object-to-Relational Mapping layer for data access
* Communicate with non-technical staff to distill product requirements, and design and implement new product reports and features on web site
* Design and implement data storage strategies to maximize reporting performance using SQL and programming languages (JavaScript or C#)
* Conduct unit testing on all application code
* Development skills in ASP.NET, C#, .NET MVC, and JavaScript
* OO Design and Object/Relational Mapping
* Proficient in HTML, DHTML, CSS, and other web technologies
* Experience with application security models and strategies
* Oracle, SQL Server, or other major database
* Basic SQL including table joins, foreign key relationships, indexes, and query optimization techniques
* Experience producing web reports and graphs
* Ability to read and analyze application code to obtain an understanding of the process flow and functional purpose
* C++, Microsoft Visual Studio 200x
* Experience with DHTML and/or AJAX
* Experience with n-tier application development
