Application Software Engineer
Development/integration environment is primarily C++ on Unix/Linux systems. As required by program needs, the candidate may work as a team member or pursue individual tasking under the general direction of a senior engineer. The candidate may be required to participate in all phases of the software life cycle including analysis, design, development, unit test, peer review, test support, internal and external documentation, and maintenance of applications.
This position requires basic analytic skills to learn to decompose requirements, perform analysis in order to design and implement software solutions, test and debug software applications, and perform trouble-shooting and support of test activities. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with business need and professional capabilities.
Candidate must have a BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics or a related technical discipline, with a strong foundation in Software Engineering principles.
Proficiency with C++ with working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
Some Software Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment, including shell scripting.
