Sr. Software Development Engineers (Database Applications)
Responsibilities:
* Design & develop and maintain both relational and dimensionally modeled databases on SQL Server 2008 platform.
* Design, develop and maintain highly performing, scalable ETL solutions in SQL Server 2008 Integration Services (SSIS) that can load large scale datasets into dimensional databases.
* Build and maintain Snapshot Archiving and row level versioning (slowly changing dimensions) of Dimensional data.
* Design, develop and maintain OLAP cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
* Design, develop and maintain a comprehensive job control system that can handle data integrity, recoverability, repeatability, scheduling, Queuing, event handling, logging, validations, tracing and notification.
* Model, build and maintain Reports using SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services (SSRS) in SharePoint Integrated mode with Report Subscriptions.
* Participate and advice in planning strategies of optimal use of physical database structures, Network resources and 64-Bit computing capabilities.
* Build supporting API libraries using Microsoft .Net.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field 8 years of experience in Database Design/Development which must include the following and may be gained concurrently:
* 5 years experience in Software Development Life Cycle including Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation and Maintenance.
* 5 years experience with Microsoft core development technologies in SQL 2000 or higher.
* 5 years experience developing enterprise-level ETLs with advance features.
* 5 years experience in SQL/Transact-SQL development skills.
* 5 years experience in using any of Microsoft. Net languages developing CLR functions and other cross functional features in SQL Server including event handling and queuing.
* 5 years experience in tracing, diagnosing and resolving database performance issues.
* 5 years experience in building and maintaining operations support applications.
* 4 years experience developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) with SharePoint integration, Report Subscription and notification features.
* 4 years experience in implementing table partitioning including design, physical storage, sliding window, compression and partition switching.
* 4 years experience using Team Foundation Server.
* 1 year of experience using Agile development methodologies.
