Senior Software Engineer, Systems
You will aid in designing and coding of software solutions in a multi-tier environment, specifically in the areas of Windows applications, database design, and communications. Working through the product life-cycle, you will develop reusable platform software components from design to testing through shipment readiness. Utilizing your strong problem analysis skills, you will aid in resolving issues found in integration and system testing as well as in released products in the field. You will be responsible for documenting your development work, including design documentation, code reviews, test cases & results, etc.
In addition to a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, a successful track record of experience in a software product development environment using a formal software process is required for this role. Strong Windows programming experience including .NET and C# is required. Practical experience with object oriented (OO) design including UML is essential. Communications experience with TCP/IP networking is required. Database experience in one or more RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL) is strongly desired. Experience with WPF, WCF, and Entity Framework is a plus. Prior medical device industry experience is a plus. You must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and thrive in a team environment. Experience and desire to lead small teams is a plus.
