Web Developer or Developer Senior

The Web Developer/Developer Senior will be responsible for:

* Performs analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of complex Java-based applications. * Works as part of a project team and may lead a defined section of a project. Develops sub-project plans, functional specifications, and schedules. * Will be responsible for maintaining existing and developing new functionality for web sites, portals and ancillary web applications. * Performs design and coding on very complex Java programs and applications. * Provides significant technical direction on major development projects. * Conceives, proposes, and sells new ideas and products to support business needs, and guides the implementation of these ideas and products within an application. * Collaborates with Web content owners on requirements, design, scheduling and publication. * Maintains customer-focused Web site navigation structure (intuitive user interface). * Publishes content from development following established change control processes. * Previews platforms to production platforms. * Performs configuration management and rollbacks. * Monitors Web site services to ensure 7 x 24 availability of content and functionality. * Monitors and enforces security rules and infrastructure, preserving the security of the Web site and related applications. * Develops and organizes content that supports consistent and accurate reporting. * Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code (e.g., JAVA, Visual Basic, COM, CORBA, ASP, JSP, etc.) for a component of the Web site. * Works with graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design and architecture of the Web site. * Responsible for interface implementation and system communication. * Stays abreast of new web technologies and techniques.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
