Web Developer
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline. Combination of education and/or certifications with equivalent work experience considered.
* At least 5 years or more of work experience in software development, preferably within a small, high performance IT team.
* Work experience applicable to a web development environment with complex databases and designs.
* Professional standards-based web development skills with the following tools:
o .NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
o .NET based language (C Sharp, VB.Net)
o Microsoft SharePoint 2003
o Visual Studio, IIS, SQLServer 2005 and SQL Reporting Services
o SQL Server Integration Services
o Adobe Flash
* Good knowledge of software development methodologies and processes, including:
o User interface and site design
o Software design techniques
o Requirements gathering
o Software test
* Experience with the following technologies:
o XML
o XSL
o CSS
o Javascript
o AJAX
* Ability to understand browser-specific compatibility issues.
* Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications.
* The following software skills are desirable:
o Coldfusion
o DotNetNuke
o MOSS 2007
* Ability to work effectively within a small company environment and work for a highly technical internal client base.
* Creativity and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Strong proofreading skills.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
