Science Software Application Support Specialist

This position is responsible for deploying and supporting enterprise-level software systems developed by TPS for R&D. Responsibilities include software deployment, training, user adoption, user support, troubleshooting, issue tracking and software documentation. The Support Specialist has liaison responsibilities with each application's software project team.

Qualifications

A BS in Computer Science, Biology, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Chemistry or comparable work experience in Agriculture/Biotechnology is required. An MS or PhD in Biology or Plant Sciences is highly desired. The candidate must be PC Proficient. Experience with agricultural research and/or business and a strong working knowledge of Excel, Access and other Microsoft software is highly desirable. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills. In addition, the candidate must be a self starter and be able to work alone or as a part of a team.
