Senior Systems Programmer
Description
1. Support for current products and services provided by mainframe
2. Involvement in new projects
3. Involvement in team activities and initiatives
4. Conduct periodic check on the CICS Sub-System (CICS/TS) to ensure system is healthy in order to meet the SLA with client.
5. Perform CICS tuning in order to meet the SLA
6. Support the storage group in the HSM and SMS area for the CICS Tuning purpose.
7. Perform CICS Upgrades as needed
8. Applying PTF/Fixes using SMP/E tools
9. Manage Journal archiving and recovery using CICS/VR and other third party tool
10. Lead CICS and MQ Support group
Qualifications
Technical Skills
Must:
Handle MVS Operating System (high level)
Manage CICS Sub-system on Mainframe
Manage forward recovery using CICS/VR or other tools
Conversant with SMP/E, TCP/IP and MQ (Interfacing CICS)
Exposure to CICS Troubleshooting and Tuning
