Embedded SW Engineer

Job Description: Job Description: This position will participate in the design, development and unit test of embedded system software for high-performance/highly-available storage and IP networking products.

Qualifications: BS + 5 years or MS + 2 years experience in development of networking protocols and/or system software.

Extensive experience working in ‘C’ in real-time kernel/embedded Unix in a multi-threaded environment in performance oriented systems. Bachelor’s or Master’s in EE or CS with emphasis in operating systems and networking.

Requirements: At least 5 years of working experience in software development. Requires in-depth knowledge of and previous experience working in distributed systems. Be able to do coding in C. Must have developed large complex software for modular chassis based switching or other communications/networking systems. Must have worked on system-level infrastructure (like communication/messaging infrastructure, configuration infrastructure, HW management infrastructure, etc) that is protocol-agnostic, scalable and highly available. Must be conversant with embedded software development tools and debuggers.
